Privacy Policy for Visa Day Tracker

Visa Day Tracker is a simple, privacy-first app that helps travellers keep track of rolling visa day allowances, such as the Schengen 90-days-in-180 rule. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app or its website, visadaytracker.com.

1. Data collection and use

Visa Day Tracker does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or sensitive data. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

Everything you enter — trip dates, countries, profiles, colours and settings — is stored only on your device, in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.

2. Third-party services

The app does not use analytics, tracking, advertising networks, social media plug-ins or external cloud databases.

The app's files are served by our web host, Netlify. Like any website host, Netlify may automatically record standard technical information when the app's files are downloaded — such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request — to deliver the site and keep it secure. This does not include any of the trips or settings you enter. See Netlify's privacy policy.

On Android, the app is displayed using Google Chrome (as a Trusted Web Activity). Chrome's own handling of data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

3. Permissions

The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. If you turn on "Haptic feedback" in Settings, it uses your phone's vibration for small taps; this sends no data anywhere.

4. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can erase it at any time by:

• using Settings → Reset all data in the app, which permanently deletes all trips, profiles and settings on that device; or
• clearing the site data for visadaytracker.com in your browser's settings (on Android: Chrome → Settings → Site settings → All sites → visadaytracker.com → Clear & reset).

Because the Android app stores its data through Chrome, uninstalling the app may not remove that data on its own — use one of the options above as well. Deleted data cannot be recovered, as no copy is kept anywhere else.

5. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
